Leslie Bates has been teaching piano for over 30 years, 25 by the Suzuki Method. She received a Bachelor of Science in Humanities and Science from M.I.T. and a Master of Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She has done extensive training as a Suzuki piano teacher and holds a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy with Suzuki Emphasis from Holy Names College. Mrs. Bates has served as accompanist for a variety of groups including New Life Chorus and the Concord-Carlisle High School Chorus; currently she is a regular pianist at Grace Chapel in Lexington. She has three adult children, all of whom were Suzuki students on different instruments.
