Warning: this is a script for Blender 2.4 and won't work in Blender 2.5 or later The onion skinning script creates a ghost image of an animation at user-defined keyframes. Trivia: Blendernation has reported on this script. Latest version: 3 Take a look at the video below for an example of how the script can be used. (The video shows an older version of the script. The speed has been improved since then.) Example videoInstructions on setting up the script1 - Go to the python text-editor2 - Text --> open --> # select the onionskin script on your harddisk 3 - Go to the 3d view and press CTRL+UParrow (to enlarge the window) 4- View --> Space Handlers Script --> Draw: onionskin_3 5- CTRL+DOWNarrow (to get the window back to its normal size) 6- Go to the text editor and press ALT+P Steps 3 and 5 are only necessary to be able to see the option in step 4, because it often happens that it falls off screen otherwise. Note: Because of a limitation in the Blender python api the script only works when there is 1 (one) 3d-view on screen. If there are more, strange things happen. A development thread of this script can be found at BlenderArtists. DownloadThe script is since version 3 available as a single <python file>. For information on setting up the script (which is slightly different from most scripts), look at the information above. |
