In June 2018, Medtronic filmed an interview with Chris Robinson at Spot in the Woods about how the charity came about.

We are delighted to announce we have been chosen by Spot in the Woods boutique B&B and Kitchen Café at the gateway to the New Forest at Woodlands (formerly Hotel terraVina), as one of their charities of the year.
Owner and founder, world renowned sommelier, Gerard Basset, had his oesophageal cancer successfully treated recently by surgeon Jamie Kelly at Southampton.
We wish him every good wish on his recovery journey back to full health.

21 March 2018, We inaugurated the Barrett's West Country group in Plymouth with talks by Dr Sean Cochrane, Sr Vanessa Pritchard and Chris Robinson.
Although few people attended, the seed has been sown and hopefully will grow as more people in the area learn of the group.

22 November 2017 saw the launch of the South Wales support group, Barrett's Wales, with talks by Dr Sunil Dolwani, Sr Kay James and Chris Robinson.
Their first challenge is to get potentially life-saving RFA therapy available in Wales.

Following the 2016 AGM mandate to help develop support groups beyond the area, Chris spoke at a symposium for endoscopy nurses in Plymouth on 21st March which lead to the formation of a Barrett's West patient support group.

On Wednesday 3rd May 2017, Chris was talking with GPs at a training session on Barrett's Oesophagus at London Bridge Hospital at the Shard which may lead to the formation of a Barrett's Kent support group (if we can find volunteers in the area).

On Wednesday 10th May 2017, a meeting in Salisbury to help develop that group was attended by nearly 50 people.
