BW Library

In addition to the downloadable material available from our Downloads page and our FAQs page, Barrett's Wessex maintains a library of useful books and leaflets.

Printed copies of many of these are available on request and others may be borrowed.

Some of them may be available at drop-in sessions but please do contact us before hand if there's anything specific you may wish to have or borrow.

The library presently contains leaflets and booklets concerned with acid reflux complications produced by various charities, medical equipment suppliers, national bodies etc in addition to reprints of substantial research projects (which may also be found in our Research archives).

Books in the library may be borrowed on request, or where possible, copies may be provided.
Many of these are available at drop-in events but contact us before hand if you want anything specific.

As at April 2017, the library includes copies of:

William Beaumont's "Experiments and Observations on the Gastric Juice and the Physiology of Digestion". Originally published in 1833 (though our copy is a 1959 reprint), this seminal work is regarded as the foundation to gastroenterology.

Harrison's Principals of Internal Medicine. (A must for all medics. It is a big, heavy tome so we will scan and reproduce the relevant pages about acid reflux, Barrett's Oesophagus and Oesophageal adenocarcinma on request.)

Barrett's Esophagus Info (from the Ryan Hill Foundation)
