About the charity
Founded in 1999, Barrett’s Oesophagus Campaign (BOC) is the only national charity dedicated to the prevention of cancer from Barrett’s Oesophagus and the support of people living with the disease.
BOC supports research into Barrett's Oesophagus and Oesophageal Cancer by maintaining the Barrett's Oesophagus Registry (UKBOR) and funding research. It also provides support for Barrett's Oesophagus sufferers and their families by offering advice via email firstname.lastname@example.org and facilitating a thriving online support forum.

BOC’s aims are to:
Early diagnosis and public awareness of Barrett's Oesophagus and Oesophageal Cancer will help stem the steady increase of deaths in the UK, which has now reached in excess of 7,000 people each year, predominantly men, which is considerably more than road deaths.
