lodging awaits you....

Located on 150 acres of Texas Hill Country remoteness and sliced through by the James River, the Bar None River Ranch appeals to those who desire privacy.  The ranch is located in southern Mason County in the Hill Country, not far from the historic towns of Mason and Fredericksburg.

The “Bar None” River Ranch is rented year round.  For rental information click the VRBO link immediately below

In the spring, wildflowers abound. In the summer you can cool down in one of the largest springs in the hill country. In the fall enjoy the wrap around porch. In the winter the outside fireplace will keep you warm.
Rather a couple or 12 people the Ranch House is perfect.
Guests enjoy exclusive use of the entire ranch, which includes the luxurious 4 bedroom lodge (plus loft area) and the river.

Away from the lodge, but still on the ranch, you will enjoy wading the clear waters and hard-bottom of the James River, drinking straight from its springs. Comfortable wildlife viewing stands are found throughout the ranch, each with game feeders that operate year-round to assure you of seeing lots of wildlife. Deer and turkey are regular visitors. Guests also enjoy hiking, bird watching, and photography on the ranch.

For most guests, the best time of day is the evening. You will enjoy rocking on the porches, drink in hand, watching the changing colors brought on by the end of a peaceful day. Darkness brings the night sounds, which often include the barks and howls of nearby coyotes, and the sounds of owls and river frogs.
