About Us

Barnett Films was a hobby business started with two high-school brothers, Ryan and Matthew Barnett.  Currently, Matthew is the one "running the show".  To learn more about Matthew, Click Here. This small hobby business, Barnett Films, first came to be in the spring of 2006 with a spur of the moment idea.  That idea was to film, and produce DVDs of a dance recital at the high school.  The idea and decision to go forward with it was made two days before the recital with all profits benefiting the Menomonie High School.  From that moment forward, the vision of producing cost-friendly visual services to the Menomonie area was forever set in place.  To date, the business has completed numerous projects including: 7 Football Highlight Films (4 MHS & 3 Stout), 6 dance recitals, countless sideshows, a documentary on the Mabel Tainter as well as on a trip to Mongolia, and the design of the Menomonie Dog Park website.

Barnett Films has expanded considerably since its start, and with the expansion came the purchasing of top of the line equipment.  Some of the equipment we use include: Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium, Canon GL2 Video Cameras, DVD duplicator, and a state of the art computer with surround sound and two 22 inch monitors.
