Banh pate chaud

1 pound ground pork

1 1/2 tablespoons chicken pate

1/4 cup chopped yellow onion

2 tablespoons chopped shallot

1/4 cup chopped wood ear mushrooms

1/4 cup bean threat noodles

1/3 cup sweet peas

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon mushroom seasoning (Available at Asian stores and markets) Or order on line here.

2 teaspoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon crushed peppercorns

1 egg for egg wash

2 package puff pastry sheets

Bake @ 325 degrees for 30 minutes (golden brown crust and throughly cooked filling)

Chicken Pâté

Ingredients:

1 lb chicken liver

2 stick of unsalted butter ( 1 cup)

1/2 cup of chicken broth

1/2 cup of diced shallot

1/2 cup of diced yellow onion

1 tablespoon of diced garlic

1 /2 teaspoon of mushroom seasoning

1/4 teaspoon of thyme

3 bay leaves

1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon of white pepper powder

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 tablespoon of brandy ( cognac)

2 tablespoons of olive oil for cooking
