Banh Hoi With Bar-B-Q PorkMakes 4 servings

Prep Time 1 Hour

1 1/2 LB pork shoulder

1 package chinese Bar-B-Q

1 package 12oz banh hoi-fine rice vermicelli

1 cup green onion-small slices

1 12 tablespoon olive oil

Marinate pork with Chinese Bar-B-Q for 2 hours or over night

for a stronger flavor. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil in a medium

sauce pan add pork. Let simmer for 25 minutes then increase

to high heat until caramelized.

In a medium sauce pan heat 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and

lightly saute green onions. Spread onions on banh hoi then roll.

In large bowl, add warm water and 1/2 tablespoon oil.

Soak fine rice vermicelli (Banh Hoi) for 1 minute, then place in a steamer

for 4 minutes.

For this recipe we used pork shoulder. Notice the size of the cuts of pork. As always the cuts of meat should be uniform so that the meat cooks evenly.
