What We Believe

At Baltimore First Free Methodist Chruch:

  • We believe in One God who is the Creator of all things good.
  • We believe in the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe Jesus is God's Son born from a virgin, was crucified for man's sin, died, was buried, rose back to life three days later, ascended to heaven where He is praying for us, and will return to earth to gather His own to live with Him in eternal heaven.
  • We believe a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is vital for a Christian life.
  • We believe forgiveness of sin is through Jesus Christ alone and a spiritual transformation takes place upon asking Jesus for forgiveness of our sin and is followed by a new life that turns away from sin.
  • We believe it is the Holy Spirit who gives power to individuals to meet every circumstance of life; teaching, rebuking, and correcting as needed to live a victorious life in Christ.
  • We believe the Bible is God's written word, given without error and uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is our written authority for all things necessary to salvation and Christian living.
  • We believe that "Everyone is someone and Christ is Lord". Everyone matters to us because they matter to God.
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life.
  • We believe in the importance of the local church to encourage, strengthen and assist every believer toward maturity in their spiritual life.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Free Methodist Church is to make known to all
people everywhere God’s call to wholeness through forgiveness and
holiness in Jesus Christ, and to invite into membership  and to equip
for ministry all who respond in faith.

Our Vision

At Baltimore First Free Methodist Church, the Body of Christ will strive to sustain each other in cooperation and unity by showing Gods’ love, prayer, worship, Bible study, and fellowship.

We will never be content to maintain what we already have, but that we would proclaim to those who do not know Jesus as their personal Savior that He saves, sanctifies, and can keep them until the day of judgment.

By God’s grace and through sincerely seeking Him and His will, we will continually look for new, relevant, and innovative ways to present the Gospel to our loved ones, neighbors, and strangers.

We will endeavor to disciple, love, and welcome all into the body of Christ; using the gifts, talents, and graces’ God has so freely given us.

Lastly, we will continue to seek in renewing and increasing our burden for the lost, therefore, witnessing an ever-increasing harvest.

As God continues to help us, and as our obedience continues, so shall His blessing be.
