Portrait of Deb by Jess Brenton
Deb is a middle-aged woman who lives and teaches in Port Pirie. From the young age of six years, Deb has had a passion for two things: teaching, and the colour purple. Finishing school and starting her career at fifteen, she began attending the Adelaide College of Arts and Education, which is formally known as Uni SA, for three years. After finishing college, she was required to live off of the ‘dole’ for six weeks, whilst job searching, like so many of us today. The passion Deb expressed towards teaching, and her willingness to share her stories were very intriguing. After doing the same occupation for thirty years, Deb still sees her job as interesting, secure and rewarding. Entering the work force at nineteen years of age, she has engaged students in many different locations, including Clare, Port Augusta, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide and Port Pirie. Deb is currently teaching ICT Junior and Special Needs at John Pirie Secondary School, grades eight to twelve. When asked, Deb stated that one of her most rewarding experiences is when ex-students approach her randomly and tell her about their lives. When she isn’t flat out teaching, Deb loves spending time with her little dog, and involving herself in hobbies such as: Taking photographs of fascinating scenery and objects, playing her flute in the town band, as well as involving herself in events such as Relay 4 Life, Australia Day and being the Strikers Hockey Club Number One Supporter!

I remember a live chat I attended of JB and Nick was like I vowed to not have Deit Coke for a month and it's been 3 months. and everybody was like YAY Go Nick! then Kevin goes, tell them what you drink instead.....and Nick gets quiet and goes Sugarfree Redbull LOL I was laughing sooo hard. Like that's better LOL but anyways....I am huge on diet soda (which diabetic isn't) and I tried something new yesterday....Sparkly soda, with lemon, and Splenda.....so sparkly lemonade :) oh and btw I went on a road trip with David Henrie last nite. We talked mostly about our family (I calld his mom auntie so I guess I was his cousin), hockey, and he was driving, tired and sad so I tried to cheer him up. It was a long drive too....dreams can be pretty chill and cool sometimes. I have always (desde muy ninya) dreamed about whatever it was I last heard/saw/talked about before I went to bed. so yeah I have been planning our trip to move from Houston to Sacramento (we're driving) and I was talking to my friend about Wizards yesterday so hmm guess I know where that came from LOL Yay for: another JB/Demi (&Camp Rock 2 cast this time :) ) concert Yay for: dreams Yay for: alternatives so tell me, do you dream a lot?
