"Dementor House strikes again!" We were blessed with a plugged-up toilet today. Woohoo! *nothing like having to drive to the closest gas station for potty time! **maybe I'll just go when I walk DBz for their potty time? haha... not! We called our landlord who said he'd be over in 2 days to fix/look at it. He couldn't get over sooner b/c he was 'up state', which usually means he's hunting or something else manly-mannish. Whatever... I'm so over this house. I took this photo (instead of an overflowing toilet!) b/c in the process of figuring out where the clog was, whilst in the basement looking at pipes, we noticed our hot water heater was leaking faster than an infant w/a bad case of the runs! *Maggie calculated the waste to be 25 gallons a DAY! and mind you... that's all heated water!!! and being charged to our electric bill! Ugh! He said he'd fix the toilet first and then the following weekend he'll replace the water heater. I.... hate... this.... house! ~S

The hole in the wall
January 2007 - Here's the story behind this: Well I have to tell you some funny (or not, for some other people) story about what happened this morning. Two construction workers came to my apartment looking for the source of the whole lot of water that – according to them – was coming through the ceiling of the apartment one floor below. And in their despair (after they had already checked the toilet, the sink, the fridge and the balcony) they even cut an about 10?10 cm hole into the sheetrock wall in the living room just to check if there was maybe a leaking pipe behind it. Well there wasn’t one there but they subsequently found one upstairs. Hopefully they come back tomorrow and finish the plastering and painting of the hole they cut.
