Aircraft Tool Supply Ats Sheet Metal Hand Seamer
Aircraft Tool Supply Ats Sheet Metal Hand Seamer
Precision hand seamer is drop forged from tool steel so they will not break as some of the cheaper types. The faces are machined perfectly smooth, and aligned to be exactly parallel along the edges. All of which makes for nice flat seams without any signs of pinching or warping. Extra wide 3-3/8" jaws lets you work longer seams faster, but they're still narrow enough to conveniently work the smaller areas. 6" long handles are covered with thick vinyl grip to provide maximum leverage without any discomfort.

This image is a portrait of chemist Doug Strout. Since his research is mostly done using computers and not the lab equipment you would expect a chemist to have, I had him create graphics of different chemical models in his research and send them to me in eps format. I then ganged a bunch of them up in photoshop and added a black background layer. Then I printed it on a sheet of overhead projector film.
In the studio I put the sheet on the projector and then wrapped a black cloth and a good bit of duct tape around the projector to kill stray light. I set up one light with a grid to light his face and projected the image onto a gray background. I had to stand directly behind the projector to avid a shadow being cast from him, and it worked out that he had to squint a little as it made him look more serious.
I guess my strobe was at 5.6 and my shutter was slow, maybe 1/10 or so.

Setting up Reactions
I was getting ready to do some reactions and had to wait for a bit. So, I figured I would take a photo of how I set things up. Not exactly the most exciting stuff in the world. But hey, I admit it, I'm boring.
