Learning vs. Testing: Strategies That Bridge the Gap Between Learning Styles and Test-Taking Success
Many educators and parents have encountered very bright students who simply don't perform well on traditional school assessments. This book offers practical strategies to help students learn how to learn and process information in ways that more closely match how they are being tested. The ideas and strategies presented here will help learners transfer what they know from their own natural learning style into useful forms for test-taking.88% (18)
Teachers, reading specialists, administrators, staff developers, special education teachers, and parents who work with elementary and middle-school-age children will learn how early detection of visual skill problems can save students years of struggle in school. Also explored are methods for linking visual skill development to vocabulary mastery and turning students into super spellers, math-fact masters, and overall effective learners. These strategies aim to give newfound hope to struggling students who want to raise their grades, and to give teachers who want to raise test scores to meet higher standards the answers they have been looking for.
I hate, hate, hate PAT testing. Every summer holiday I have to test all the gazillion bits of electrical equipment we have in science. I don't really understand what I'm doing (I have been on a course, honest :")) and I'm sure I'm doing some of them wrong. This of course means that not only is it a tedious, thankless task, I may actually be completely wasting my time :( Going to ask for some more training I think. I also hate it because you have to say PAT test, even though the T stands for test :")PAT Testing London

This book explains in clear language what needs to be done and includes expert advice on legislation as well as actual testing. The book contains an appendix providing the electrical fundamentals needed by non-specialists and also has sample questions (with answers) for the C&G 2377 exam that anyone who conducts this work is required to take by law.
It is an affordable and handy reference for electricians who administer PAT. It is also an ideal refresher and revision guide for the non-specialist, such as maintenance staff, caretakers and charity shop volunteers who carry out these tasks part-time, alongside their many other duties.
