Don't forget we need your photos from events all throughout the year to make our yearbook great! Send us your pictures from field trips, fun class activities, Barnes&Noble night, etc. to bakerbutleryearbook3@gmail.com Thank you! The more pictures the more fun our yearbook will be!

Parents of 5th graders, in keeping with tradition we would like to include baby pictures of our 5th grade class in the yearbook. Be on the lookout for a letter home with details and deadlines.

A message from the School Nurse

Dear Parents,
If anyone is doing some "winter cleaning" and going through clothes, the clinic could really use some! Especially pants of all sizes, both boys and girls. Underwear and winter clothing such as mittens and hats are helpful too! I'm also happy to accept old socks and shoes.
Thank you so much and stay warm.

Chair Vacancies

The PTO  is looking for volunteers for subcommittee chairs for our Spring Carnival in 2018: Carnival Cafe, Communications, and Ticket Presale chairs need to be filled. If you are willing to help out with any of these needs, please contact Crystal Soucy, Mallory Grover or, Kristie Johnson. Many hands make light work! Thanks in advance for your willingness to help.

The holidays are approaching, and your shopping can benefit the BBES PTO at no extra expense to you! If you haven't already, please link your Harris Teeter VIC card to BBES at https://www . harristeeter . com/together-in-education#/app/cms and help us earn money will you shop.
This month, purchases of a 12 inch message cookie or 12 count cupcakes earn an extra $3.00 for our school.

Volunteer Opportunity

Literacy Corp is looking for volunteers to read with 4th graders. The commitment is 30 minutes once a week for the duration of the school year. If you are available to volunteer, please contact Laurie Hull by emailing her at jaylu.hull@gmail.com. Literacy Corp volunteers make a huge difference in each child's reading ability  over the course of one year. Please think about volunteering if you have the time. Thank you!

Want to help out BBES while shopping?

Shoparoo is school fundraising made easy: the free app turns pictures of your everyday shopping receipts into cash donations and sweepstakes entries for our school!  Yep, it's that simple.

All you have to do is shop as you normally do, snap pictures of your receipts with the app, and voila Just shop, snap, earn!

Get started today:
  1. Download the free Shoparoo app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Select our school from the list and start taking pictures of your receipts - shop anywhere, buy anything!
  3. The first 20 supporters at our school will earn an extra $1 donation from Shoparoo for their first receipt!
  4. Earn even more Roo Points, or cash donations, by inviting others to join using your personal referral code.
  5. Use Code jim39451 when you sign up.

There’s no limit to how much money we can raise with Shoparoo - the more supporters, the more we will raise for our school. Schools with just 40 supporters are earning an average of $1,000 every year. That’s free, easy money that we could be fundraising too. Check out shoparoo.com to learn more about this awesome app!
