A Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) communicates to educators, students and their families, business people, and community members, the process of measuring and achieving improvements in a school district’s performance.

The Oregon Department of Education created the eCIP as the new format for the 2009-2011 submission of the Continuous Improvement Plan which includes both state and federal planning requirements. Oregon School Law 329.095 requires that school districts bienninally conduct a self-evaluation and update of their local district continous improvment plans. The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 requires districts to provide plans for each of the Title programs for which the district receives funding. (Oregon Department of Education)
