For those interested, there will be an initial meeting at Cups Coffee House on December 10 at 2:00 PM to discuss day and time for the first meeting in January. ATTENTION PCOs. This is truly grass-roots democracy in action. Elected Republican Precinct Committee Officers will meet to choose the 2019-2020 Executive Board for the party and to approve revisions to the party bylaws. Strict parliamentary procedure will be followed with classic motions, amendments, points of order, divisions of the house and similar. Only Elected PCOs will be allowed to vote although other interested individuals will be allowed to speak.
Plan ahead for these upcoming events:
January 16- BIRW Meeting (note that this is the 3rd Wednesday in January). Maxford Nelson from the Freedom Foundation speaks about the Supreme Court Janus decision that ruled that workers may not be forced to pay union dues as this violates their First Amendment Rights.
February 13 Meet the Author- Be prepared for a provocative and stimulating event as we hear fromLes Gee, author of “One Small Pebble ... A Thousand Ripples,” a biographical novel based on the real life rags-to-riches odyssey of his immigrant parents coming from impoverished and war ravaged Canton, China to building an incredibly successful business in the Bay Area of California and then paying it forward for many other immigrants. Les will be our speaker at both the BIRW February 13 Luncheon and our February 13 After Hours Event.
