Bainbridge Striders Schedule:
20 Jun 2025 to 29 Sep 2025
Welcome to Bainbridge Striders! The Island Striders began in 1997 as an outgrowth of a Bainbridge Island Parks district class taught by Kay Jensen. It is a very loosely organized group of walkers who are committed to maintaining a healthy life style while enjoying the beautiful island on which we live.
We are a diverse group of men & women with many different walking speeds. Despite (or perhaps because of) having no committees, meetings, dues or membership rosters, we enjoy good conversation as we walk. Most of us are retired, but involved in volunteer work or pursuing some passionate interest.
Our walks start at different places on the island, are usually 3-5 miles long, take about an hour, and are occasionally followed by a stop for coffee.
We meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, rain or shine
When days are long (20 Mar to 22 Sep), we meet at:
08:30 PDT.
When days are short (23 Sep to 19 Mar), we meet at:
09:00 PDT/PST.
Current health regulations do not require us to wear masks for these walks but masks may still be appropriate for after-walk socials at coffee vending establishments and should be kept available.
If you think our group would fit your life style, feel free to just show up at one of our walks.
