2017-2018 School Supply Kits

Look out for the Schoolkidz supply list in this Thursday folders!  The supply list is specific to Baileys and your child's next grade level. Just fill out the form and put the form and check in the PTA box in the office or you can order online (EASY! and preferred by the organizer - me! :-) ) by going to  You will be asked to enter an account number. The account numbers are now different between Baileys Primary and Upper: If your child is a RISING K-2 (will be at Baileys Primary in 2017-2018), you will use account number 93732, if your child is a RISING 3-5 (will be at Baileys Upper in 2017-2018), you will use account number 76901. These numbers are also on the forms.

If you are turning in the paper form and paying with cash, it needs to be exact cash - we can NOT provide change. Rising Kindergarten forms can be picked up in the front office or can also order online. Note: every student (all grades) should have a backpack  - backpacks are offered as optional items as part of the Schoolkidz form.  All orders are due by Friday, June 2nd.  The kits will be delivered to your child's classroom at the beginning of the school year. Spring ASE Starts Today!

SPRING ASE classes start this week! Yes, after school classes will still be held today, Monday 3/13, as the weather cancellation begins at 6:15PM. If school closes any other day, then ASE will also be cancelled.

Spring ASE Registration Opens 2/21 at 9AM!

Online Registration for Spring ASE classes opens Tuesday at 9am. The link to the registration site is available on the ASE side bar at

Registration will be open through 2/28 at midnight, but please register and pay early so that we can get an accurate count for each class. This will help ensure that the classes your child wants meets minimum enrollment. Late registrations or payments will not be accepted.

Spring 2017 ASE

The spring session of ASE will run from March 13th - May 11th, 2017.

Scholarship registration for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch will be on Wednesday, February 15th from 9 – 10:30 am in the Clubhouse at Primary.  Scholarship registrations are on a first come, first serve basis.

Online registration for both Primary and Upper classes will available February 21st at 9AM - February 28th at midnight.

Odyssey of the Mind Meeting

Odyssey of the Mind teams are forming now! Odyssey of the Mind is a creativity exercise/competition that combines engineering, visual art, creative writing, performance and teamwork. Teams of 5-7 students are divided Grades K-2 and 3-5, and meet approximately once per week to create a long-term solution that will be presented at Oakton High School on Saturday March 7. Last year Bailey's sent four primary teams and one Division 1 team to the regional competition. The Division 1 team also made it to the World Finals! If you think you might be interested, there will be an information night on Wednesday, November 16 at 7 PM in the Bailey's Primary cafeteria, or refer to flyer in Thursday folders or information packet available with this announcement. Armchair Fundraiser

The PTA Armchair Fundraiser is a simple way to make a direct contribution to the PTA. It is usually held each year in the Fall or Winter. 100% of your tax deductible contribution goes to support PTA activities and events, such as movie nights, basketball & soccer games and staff appreciation events. Pledge forms will be sent home in weekly folders. Contributions can be made by check by returning the pledge form and check to your child's teacher or the PTA mailbox in the front office, or through PayPal at the link below: 

PTA Membership Meeting 10/12

ASE Registration Information

ASE Information & Scholarship Registration:

Please check your student’s Thursday folder today for the FALL ASE registration information.  

Friday, September 16th, from 9am - 10: 30 am, we are registering anyone who qualifies for a scholarship. Please come to the Primary Campus Modular and register your student.  It is first come, first serve for available classes.

Kindergarten Playdate

Bailey's Elementary Schools PTA will host a play date for all incoming Kindergartners and their families on Saturday, August 27th from 10AM-12PM at Bailey's (K-2) on the green playground by the soccer field. Kindergartners should bring a plain white T-shirt to decorate; decorating supplies will be provided. Ice pops will be served. 

PTA representatives will be on hand to assist students and answers questions about the PTA.
