About Me

Ever since I was little, technology has always been a huge part of my life. As a child in elementary school, I struggled academically and educational technology was one of the areas my parents turned to for help. Growing up, I can remember spending countless evenings playing individualized reading and math games with the hope of increasing my academic success. Technology has progressed so much since I was in elementary school, and I believe its role in education will only continue to grow.

After receiving my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood, I was offered a position to teach second grade at an elementary school in Topeka, Kansas. During my second year of teaching, I started to implement different types of technology into my lessons. I knew then that I would continue my education by pursuing a graduate degree. I decided to get my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology because I saw how effective it had been with my students as well as in my own life. I want to be able to reach students like myself and be able to provide help to them in ways that can only be done with technology.
