WINGS, Women in God's Service

WINGS is collecting items for the Moving on Boxes for the Women's Shelter Of South Texas. These are basic necessities for families that move out of the shelter into new homes. Items needed are kitchen items, cleaning and bedroom/ bathroom items.

Other items we are always collecting are for crafting items for Operation Write Home, known also as Cards For Heroes, and for the nursing home ministry.

For more information on any of these items and ministries, contact Paula Powell papowell@stx.rr.com, or Nancy Guerra, Anna Todd at bafwings@gmail.com.

If you are a patient at the Cancer Center on Santa Fe, and need help with your gas expense while having treatment, call Allison Mengwasser at (361) 861- 9763.

Blessings to you, Paula.

Hey girls,

We're so excited about our first Chik Nite this December 4. Look for more of these one-night inspirational, practical and FUN evenings throughout the year to encourage and equip you to reflect God in your world - in your workplace, through your God-given purpose, in the church, in your marriage, in your parenting, in your friendships, etc. This first night will be focused on how to celebrate the holidays with Christ's peace in the midst of the Christmas chaos! Come take a short break to be refreshed before everything gets crazy!

October has been a very productive month for Janes Women's Ministry and I could not be more thankful to the Lord for the fruit He is producing in and through your lives! Check out the rest of the newsletter to read about ways you can jump in to what God is doing in Bay Area women!

I and some of the girls on my team were able to attend a women's conference in Baton Rouge, LA at Healing Place Church where Dino Rizzo pastors, a friend of Pastor Bil's. And I just finished reading Pastor Dino's book, Servolution, which I recommend! Servolution is the story of their church from the time they planted it until now. They began the church by serving their community in any way they could find, and Christ-like service is the hallmark of their congregation still today. We were so blessed being there and learned some great things to bring back to you this March at our Glo Conference. I'm so thankful for the beautiful ways you are serving those who are often forgotten or overlooked and I'm thankful for godly leaders who set this example in their everyday lives. Speaking of serving, I am thrilled to announce that we have a new leader for our See Jane Serve Team - Connie Ramirez. As soon as Mandy Ward stepped down, Connie stepped up to help and has been a huge blessing to me personally and to Janes ministry as a whole. She is a humble, hard-working, loving and ORGANIZED person and a vital member of our Janes team! If you most enjoy serving - whether it is administrative, hospitality, projects - please contact Connie at seejaneserve@yahoo.com and she will be happy to get you plugged into our See Jane Serve team! Also, be watching for opportunities to be a part of the Glo Conference Team in the next couple of weeks. We will need help in areas of set-up/tear-down, registration, decor, greeters/offering (must already be trained as a part of the BAF weekend team), sponsors, and more. Contact Connie about volunteering as well, and we'll get you on the team!

Our Fall Bible studies are rockin'! God is moving and we are seeing miracles in our every day lives. We are proof that God moves in miraculous ways when women come together to seek Him and encourage each other.
It has been a joy to see each of our studies partner up with Jane's ministries that give back to the community. Our Bible classes, along side WINGS, have served the BAM and Moving On projects by partnering with the Women's Shelter of South Texas.
As God pours His love, mercies and restoring powers into us our natural outflow should be to pour back into God's people.
I am honored to share this journey with you as we grow to know more about our God and His people. "Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better." ~ Colossians 1:10, NLT
