Calling All Women to the Events Team!

The Janes Events Team, led by Robin McNaueal, is looking for women who are DEDICATED and have a heart to plan special events for Bay Area women and women from all over our community. There are many kinds of different events throughout the year such as Janes EXPO in the fall which highlights all of the Janes ministries and give women a chance to sign up and join in all the excitement! Another big event is the Glo Conference which seeks to reach out to Corpus Christi women in order to challenge and equip them to glorify God in every part of their lives.  Our next big event is EXPO 09, which will take place on September  26-27, and we need your help!

The Events Team would ideally like women who are motivated and creative, whether that be for ideas, décor, writing, etc... We know you're out there with your creative ideas and talents! And we also need women who are gifted in the areas of administration and organization, which are always necessary to plan big events and do them well! Contact Robin McNaueal for more information. seejaneshine@gmail.com

Rays of Hope Group

Rays of Hope is a compassion group led by Rose Mendez.  She has been visiting the ladies in the Sinton jail since September of '07.  Some girls are awaiting a court appearance, some a ruling and some are awaiting a transfer to prison or a rehab facility.  These women feel encouraged by receiving your letters and these letters let them know that someone cares about them.  Rose reflects on this ministry,  "I feel that Rays of Hope is a very worthwhile project for Bay Area Fellowship women because some of these jail inmates know very little about the unconditional love of our Lord, Jesus.  I believe that we can empower them by giving them the encouragement they desire and need to make a better life for themselves.  I believe that we at BAF are qualified to bring this hope, love and empowerment to their situation.   Thanks and God bless you."  If you would like more information on this ministry or would like to be involved, contact Rose Mendez or by phone: 361-854-6621.

About Bay Area Fellowship JANES

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..." Ecc. 3.1
Summer is finally here! I always love the change of seasons and have been looking forward to summer for several weeks, anxious for my children to be home from school and looking forward to the fun of summer and the break from our school routine. We'll be spending lots of time at the beach and at the pool, we'll be grilling out all the time, and I'm so looking forward to our family vacation! Not to mention the fact that I won't be making one sack lunch for almost three months - wahoo! Of course when August rolls around, I'll be ready for it all to start over again and looking forward to the fall!
Well, as DeeDee has already let you know, this summer is also the change of seasons for Janes. I could not possibly be more excited about serving as the new leader of Janes, and I could not have asked for better preparation than to have followed DeeDee's wise and loving leadership for the last two years. From the very beginning she and I have been "kindred spirits" in the Lord and in our passion for you - the precious and amazing women of Bay Area Fellowship. I hope you have each had a chance to thank DeeDee for all that she has done to bring Janes to a place of tremendous "fruit-bearing" for the Kingdom of God! If you haven't had a chance yet, be sure to jot her a note or send her an email at bafjanes@yahoo.com. Don't miss this opportunity to express your thanks for how God has used her in your life and let her know! Everything that Janes has become is a direct reflection of the woman that DeeDee is - the glory of God is beautifully on display in her life in every way! I give praise to the Lord for you, my sweet sister-friend!

I am so thankful for the way that DeeDee welcomed me to Bay Area when we first arrived and saw my unique passion and put me to work right away doing what God has gifted me to do. We want that same thing for each and every one of you. EXPO 09 is just around the corner, girls, and we want each one of you to take advantage of this next opportunity to jump in to Janes with both feet. If you're not sure what you want to do, or how you're uniquely gifted, that's okay. Sometimes it takes time to figure it all out, but contact us anyway if you just want to be more involved and we can help direct you! You can reach me at seejanelead@yahoo.com if you have any questions, and as always, be sure to visit bafjanes.blogspot.com to get more information about all of our ministries.
And last but certainly not least, please be in prayer for me and for our whole team as we prayerfully spend the summer listening to what God has planned for Janes in 2009-2010! I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for us in this next season!

Looking forward!

First Impression's Team Leader and Team Members
I am so excited to introduce you to Debbie Bendele, who will serve as the FIT leader.  Debbie's responsibilities will be to make sure all new women at Bay Area Fellowship receive information on how to get plugged into our women's ministry.  She will also be in charge of attending membership class to welcome and pass out gift bags to each new lady.  She will oversee the welcome committee which will contact interested women by mail, e-mail and a phone call.  Debbie has her team together and they are ready to get to work!  Cheryl Tooley will continue mailing a welcome note and a JANES brochure.  Cathy Nicosia will be emailing information and Connie Walker will be making follow up phone calls to make sure all questions have been answered regarding JANES.  I am so proud of these ladies for stepping up to take on this wonderful task.
Media Team Leader
We are excited to have
Nikol Markert stepping into the role of Media Team leader for JANES.  Some of Nikol's responsibilities will include sending out the monthly JANES newsletter and creating JANES brochures, flyers, magazines, etc.  What a blessing it is to have her join our team.
I am excited to have these girls as a part of the Admin Team!  Way to go Debbie, Cheryl, Cathy, Connie and Nikol....you are AWESOME!
