Important Information

As a requirement for Star, Life, and Eagle Scout, scouts are required to be an active member of the troop for certain period of time. Consult your Boy Scout Handbook for exact requirements.

Our Troop Committee has defined "active" as follows:

"A scout is considered to be active in Troop 1299 if he attends at least 75% of the troop meetings and at least 50% of the troop camping trips.  In special circumstances the Scoutmaster can ask the Troop Committee to modify the percentages."

Our new online RSVP system, TMAS will simplify and streamline the way Troop 1299 RSVPs for camping trips and events. The site will begin tracking participation and other statistics about our troop.

Even if you are not going on the trip, you need to log in and click the box that you are not going.

Summer Camp 2013

posted Jul 18, 2013, 7:48 AM by Elan Hamburger

The boys had a blast at Camp Saffran this year. Along with many other activities, highlights included rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, water sports, and ATV training. Despite the sweltering heat and downpour of rain, the boys got most of their merit badges with ease. Weekly meetings resume July 14 at the usual time of 7 o'clock.

- A spontaneous water-gun fight on Thursday afternoon
- Establishing a positive reputation for T1299 at summer camp
- Being at summer camp with Troop 1299!
- Lots of merit badges earned
- Lots of underwear discovered on the flag pole.
- New Aquatics Center and ATV riders

Summer Camp Week #2 Sunday July 6, 2014

posted Jun 19, 2012, 5:36 PM by Elan Hamburger   [ updated Sep 12, 2013, 3:46 PM by Charles Hauss ]

We will be camping two weeks in a row at Camp Saffran.  It is possible that we might stay for the weekend.  Dads would be invited to come on Friday and spend the night. They would also bring the food for us for the next day.   We are planning on erecting an eruv.

It is optional if you want to stay for the weekend or not.  You could go home Friday afternoon and return Sunday.

Reaction:  Yes, yes yes
