Thermus aquaticus is a bacillus type bacteria meaning it has long and skinny rod structure. Similar to many gram negative stain
bacteria, it has a double membrane with a plasma membrane on the inside, a thin middle layer, and a thicker outer layer. The
average size of Thermus aquaticus is about 15nm. Certain microscope images have revealed nucleoplasm with a thick
deoxyribonucleic acid fibrils surrounded by cytoplasm with multiple ribosomes. Thermus aquaticus is a non-speculating
organism and does not have flagella to assist movement.
