Meu interesse mais recente (talvez nem tao recente, mas do jeito que eu ando sumido por aqui...) em fotografia tem sido a fotografia de estudio; ou, melhor dizendo, a iluminacao artificial ? sobretudo retratos. Tanto e que, por isso, minhas economias tem sido investidas em equipamentos fotograficos necessarios a essa especializacao, como flashes (por enquanto apenas os portateis speedlites), modificadores de luz (por enquanto apenas sombrinhas), refletores, disparadores sem fio, etc. So que, como nao tenho modelo fotografico para experimentar o que aprendo por ai pela internet, geralmente experimento os set-ups comigo mesmo, o que acaba rendendo, de vez em quando, apenas uma foto nova de perfil do Facebook. Publico esta no Flickr, agora, porque fiquei mais satisfeito com a iluminacao em relacao as tentativas anteriores. Talvez porque nao tenho mais apenas uma unidade de flash ? agora, tenho tres, com mais possibilidades. --- A vantagem da sombrinha em relacao a uma soft box e o preco, que faz com que seja melhor para se comecar. A desvantagem e o menor controle da luz, porque, com sombrinha, a luz se espalha muito mais pelo ambiente. E, num espaco nao tao grande, que e a sala da minha casa, fica mais complicado ainda iluminar o objeto sem que o fundo seja tao iluminado quanto. Por isso, recorri ao uso da vinheta adicionada digitalmente, o que pode nao agradar a alguns observadores. Na verdade eu mesmo nao gosto muito de vinhetas, mas, nesta foto, gostei justamente por causa do efeito “artificial” que a foto adquiriu, o que acabou se tornando a minha intencao enquanto a editava, como pode-se perceber ataves dos tons meio HDRisticos. Nesta foto, se nao me engano, havia um flash YongNuo YN-460 atras de mim, direcionado a parede (o que contradiria eu querer evitar um high key ? e que, com este flash, pude obter antes de revelar um centro mais iluminado que os cantos, meio que uma vinheta), acho que com potencia de 1/16 ou 1/32; e um outro, do mesmo modelo e com potencia total, como luz principal, atraves de uma sombrinha branca, a direita da camera. _ Self-portrait #42 My most recent interest (maybe not so recent, but as I haven't been showing up around here lately...) in photography has been studio photography; or rather artificial lighting - especially portraits. That's why my savings have been spent on necessary photo equipment for this specialization, like flashes (by now, only speedlites), light modifiers (by now, only shoot-through umbrellas), reflectors, wireless triggers, etc. But, as I don't have any photographic model to try out the stuff that I learn around the internet, I usually experiment the setups with self-portraits, which ends up yielding me a new Facebook profile photo. Now, I publish this one on Flickr because I am more satisfied with the lighting compared to my previous attempts. Maybe because now I have not only one flash unit - but three, with much more possibilities. --- The advantage of a shoot-through umbrella to a softbox is the price, what makes it better to start out. The disadvantage is the smaller control of light, beacause there's too much spill light with it. And, inside a not so big space, which is my house's living room, it gets even more complicated to light the object whithout making the background as illuminated as. That's why I called upon using a digital vignette, which may not please some viewers. In fact, I don't really like vignettes myself, but, in this photo, I liked just because of the "artificial" look that the pic got, which turned out to be my goal as I was developing it (as you can perceive by the HDRish tones). In this picture, if I am not wrong, there was a YongNuo YN-460 speedlite behind me, pointing to the wall (what would contradict me trying to avoid a high key picture - I explain, with this flash, I could get, even before developing, a center more bright than the corners, sort of a vignette), I think with a 1/16 or 1/32 power; and another one, same model and with full power, as main light, through a umbrella, at the camera's right.Bay Camera's Pre-Owned and Consignment Program
