trying hard to get back into my photography after a lengthy illness called my marriage killed my spirit and caused me such physical break down to my body and being, today was one of the first days the sun shone on my face, that I could hold my camera up (although later my muscles were just aching) and take a few good pix. I liked this one, so I did it in a few different filters. i also went into my studio with my business partner, and photo assistant, anne-marie, and shot a bunch of studio lighting shots, and I took a walk at the "First Friday Art Walk" (it's an Oakland thing) and figured that I want to be selling some of my new images on t-shirts by the next First Friday, in September. I found a local printer that will print in small batches (25 or less) if I stick to black and white.

I was on a photo shoot for a good friend of mine, Megan Owdom-Weitz (that's her on the right with her husband, Erik, on the left). She is a designer and fabric printer, and the shoot was to document her new collection as well as a fashion show at a local gallery. During the studio portion of the shoot, they both were wearing the same shirt design so it seemed a natural to capture them together.
