It Stands to Reason When my parents converted to their odd religion and learned that Christmas was a pagan holiday, they took the gifts back to the stores and threw out the tree, ornaments and all. Then they sat six-year-old me down to talk about Santa. My father said, "does it stand to reason that one man in an airplane could deliver presents to every house in the the world?" I admire that now, the argument that killed the magic by substituting a plane for a sleigh. We didn't even have to discuss the oddity of levitation in a chimney. Bits of tinsel would surface in the rug for months--the vacuum couldn't suck them up. When my new Sunday School teacher told us about the loaves and fishes, I just had a knowing smile: the death of one miracle is the death of all.

This is my good friend Richard, who is an avid amateur wild life photographer modeling his one piece thermal winter wear. In pursuit of his passion, he doesn't let the weather stand in his way and dresses accordingly to the changing seasons. I know this sounds like a shameless plug, but check out his photostream, rawimagery for viewing of his stunning images, you won't be disappointed.
