I had been hoping that the neti pot (also known in some circles as a 'nose bidet,' though I personally find that less appealing sounding) would be able to ward off any and all ailments for the rest of my life, but alas, it is not to be, and it appears I have a slight sore throat. I made my way down to Working Pictures to collect a hard drive that had some footage owed me, and after over two hours of waiting, I finally was able to procure said drive and return home to begin trying to correct the mistakes made in the sequence construction and export of the files. While I was waiting, however, a gigantic peal of thunder BOOMED across the sky, opening up a gaping hole from which a mini-firmament descended. I stepped out onto 28th Street and found myself at the edge of a lake nearly as wide as 7th Avenue. I was lucky to find a cab. Sarah came by to get some editing tips for her blog, as well as to play a little Super Mario Galaxy. We talked about dissolves, the 30 degree rule, and why cuts work (they're like how we use blinking, to punctuate thought, or to change frame of reference). Later Mary, Lisa and Julie got back and we proceeded to discuss all manner of possible business venture while eating remarkably good vegan food at Blossom on Columbus and 83rd. By the late evening, my oncoming cold was starting to vibrate in my sinuses. Mary and I talked for an hour or so, I walked the dog, and had used the neti pot again when I realized I had not taken a picture for the day. So the new toy that Justin bought for Movie had to do. Here it is, in all it's Muppet-like glory: Slither slow across Undulating carpet fields. Like very short grass.
A picture taken of me and my booth at Rock Make (a craft, art & music festival in 2010) by the photographer for the event. It was a ton of fun to show at and the music was great all day long.
