Bobux Infant/Toddler Dog Crib Shoe,Brown,Small (US Infant 1 M)
Your little man will love to watch the puppy dog face as he learns to take his first steps! Pediatricians recommend the Bobux shoes because they allow a baby's feet to grow and function without the restrictions of a hard-soled, form-fitted shoe. They allow baby to feel the surface they are walking on and grip the floor as they learn to stand and walk. Featuring slip resistant soles, soft natural breathable leather and comfortably worn without socks, they provide the ultimate coziness for your babies' precious feetsies!

Munire Newport crib with a Naturepedic No-Compromise organic cotton mattress.* * Apparently, not all organic mattresses are truly natural & non-toxic. We started with an "organic" mattress from Costco that cost $120. However, upon contacting the manufacturer, we learned that while the mattress is covered in organic cotton, the 6" fire-retardant batting is 85% boric acid (roach poison) and 15% poly fiber. Upon further research, we learned that both boric acid and antimony (arsenic) are the most commonly used mattress fire-retardants. Thank goodness for Costco's no-hassle return policy. While neither my husband nor I are doctors, medical researchers nor toxicologists, it seems fairly intuitive that, at best, it is questionable whether a baby should sleep on 6" of toxins known to increase the mortality rate & infertility in lab mice. So being the hippy-dippy types who simply want a natural crib mattress, we did further research and found that such mattresses average $400 (pricing can be sky's-the-limit) with construction ranging from cotton, wool, rubber, foam, natural latex, silica & any combination of the aforementioned (Ecobaby, Lifekind, Moonlight Slumber, OMI, Naturepedic, Savvy Rest, and Strobel Technologies seem to be the leading eco-mattress manufacturers). Each manufacturer touts the benefits of cotton, wool, rubber, etc.; however, we chose Naturepedic because it is an organic cotton, firm innerspring mattress, that is relatively value-priced ($250) and entirely natural & non-toxic (no PBDEs, PVC, PAN, boric acid, antimony, modacrylic, respirable crystaline silica). Hard as we looked, we didn't find a summary of all this information in one source. Hopefully, someone else will find this information useful in making an informed decision about a crib mattress.
