Have you ever been so attuned to the woven strings of a relationship that you can tell the exact moment when one of those strings snap? Even when your loved one is hundreds of miles away and assures you that all is well? Such is the moment that opens the tale of Becky Medina, a 24 year old Army wife trying to keep the home fires burning in Pennsylvania while her husband is deployed to Iraq. Change is forced on her and she has to learn to live with the fact that a traumatic episode in her husband’s life has made him seek solace in the arms of another. Painfully breaking away from the life she was sure was forever, she has to start from scratch again back at her childhood home with her father. But when she decides to go on her long-postponed honeymoon to Scotland by herself, she finds comfort, passion and love in the arms of a sexy Scotsman who is in need of healing of his own and finds it in Becky.

Day 280-- To make up for yesterday's creepy Coraline photo, here is a picture of a sleeping baby. Peaceful, gentle, soothing, relaxing. Enjoy. I dropped Emily off at school, then set off on a mama-baby adventure with Annika. We drove 40 miles to a city big enough to have a Target so I could use my gift card, and on the way back she slept while I sang along to the new John Denver CD I bought. I grew up driving around with my Granny, sitting in the front seat with no carseat or booster when I was four years old because that was legal then, singing along to her John Denver tapes while she drummed on my leg and turned the radio up for each song that she liked. She liked them all, so it just got louder and louder, and we belted out every song together. To this day, I still love John Denver and Don Williams because of those drives. There was a strong sense of living my own history. It wasn't just remembering my childhood; I knew that 25 years ago, there was someone else in my place, doing exactly what I was doing. I was living my past, but not from the passenger seat where I sat back then. Instead, I was stepping into the skin of previous generations and seeing my past through the eyes of my mother and her mother and her mother. It was a deep and comfortable feeling, and I imagine that's what growing up feels like, if you do it right.
Me and my baby ( For all the mom's who struggle with housechores and loving on their babies)

Here is a song, not sure who sings it, but my grandma and grandpa shared it with me today and wow!! I cried Here it goes God gave us these little ones for just a short time. He said they're your blessings, but remember they're mine Made in his image this mystery unfolds. A child is more Precious than silver or gold. So housework be quiet and chores wait in line. I'm holding my jewel for this is my time. Dishes can wait and dust go to sleep. I'm Rocking my baby and babies don't keep. One day you'll be grown just like daddy and me. And if your not loved now oh, how sad it will be. So I'll tell you of Jesus for He loves you so. And though we all love you, He loves you more So Housework be quiet and chores wait in line. I'm holding my jewel for this is my time. Dishes can wait and Dust go to sleep. I'm Rocking my baby and babies don't keep. I am rocking my baby and babies don't keep. Oh and this lovely Photo was taken by my hubby and Edited by me. I thought it turned out wonderful!! :)
