Equity Derivatives - Application Support Analyst

A Top Tier Investment Bank in London is looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their Equity Derivatives team. Equity Derivatives Technology provides IT development and support for the Equity Derivatives business.Equity Derivatives covers a variety of business lines, including Arbitrage, Volatility, Exotics, Fund Linked Derivatives and Convertible Bond Trading. Trading desks are currently in London, New York, Trading desks are currently in London, New York and Hong Kong with Sales in offices worldwide.

This Analyst/Support person will work as part of the Equities Arbitrage IT team developing and supporting the specialised trading, risk and pricing tools customised for arbitrage trading.This is a front-office role, working closely with traders and external clients across equities and futures. The candidate requires very strong problem-solving and technical skills with an in depth understanding of listed derivative products and trading.

Analyst/Support embedded in a front-office development team.
Find solutions to business requirements and work closely with the developers to implement new features.
Support the applications and systems used by the traders.
Involvement in all aspects of software delivery; including analysis, design, development, deployment and support. 

Bachelors Degree, ideally in Computer Science or another numerate subject with heavy IT use.  Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, work with minimal formal specifications, and deliver at the highest levels.

Experience of working in a front-office trading-floor environment maintaining sophisticated real-time applications with a demanding userbase and significant business dependency. Equity, future and option industry experience and working closely with business users.

Incident and problem management skills required.

Key technology skills:

Windows, UNIX (Shell scripts), Q/KDB preferred, Strong SQL,Excel, C#/Java language experience beneficial
