Welcome to the homepage of the laboratory for atomic-resolution spectroscopy & surface imaging (LASSI)!

We are an experimental condensed-matter physics group in the Department of Physics at Korea University. We study the atomic structures and electronic quantum states of nano-, molecular, and crystalline surface structures using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS). We visualize physical phenomena in various nanoscale systems such as magnetic molecules, supramolecular structures, epitaxial graphene, and topological material thin films. More details on the topics can be found in the Research tab.

We have openings for graduate students and a postdoc. Please inquire at sjkahng (at) korea.ac.kr.
