Mission Statement

The mission of the Aztec Municipal Schools Instruction and Federal Programs Office is to serve district stakeholders through leadership, support, and administration of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and Federal Programs.  Our service will be delivered with the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and effectiveness, for the continuous improvement of student achievement.


Aztec Schools Instructional Materials Adoption Notice

Each year the New Mexico Public Education Department makes provisions for the adoption of instructional materials in the various subject areas. The adoption cycle can be seen at http://ped.state.nm.us/InstructionalMaterial/index.html.  During the 2017-18 school year, instructional materials for middle and high school health courses are being reviewed by parents, teachers and administrators who will made the recommendations for adoption in the 2018-2019 school year.

The Board will approve the budget for the purchase of new textbooks and supplementary books at the April meeting.  The public may review the materials at the Aztec Municipal School District Office of Instruction during the second week of April.

Instructional materials for science and the arts will be reviewed in school year 2018-2019 for adoption in 2019-2020.
