Prof. Azida Walker received her PhD from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA in 2003. Her thesis primarily involved model selection and optimization of a human heart sodium channel using non equilibrium response spectroscopy. After graduation Prof. Walker pursued post-doctoral studies at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she gained experience in molecular Biophysics. Currently, Prof. Walker's research aims at understanding the L-type Voltage Gated Calcium channel in terms of its Biophysical properties and Molecular kinetics.
