Short Bio

Ayoub Ait Lahcen is an Associate Professor at the ENSA-Kenitra, a Moroccan engineering school, and a collaborator researcher at the LRIT Laboratory, which is located in the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat. Prior to that, he got a Swiss Government Scholarship in order to work, as a postdoctoral researcher, during 9 months in the Software Engineering Group of the University of Fribourg, in Switzerland. His doctoral thesis has been prepared in joint guardianship with Nice Sophia Antipolis University (30 months at INRIA Sophia Antipolis Research Center, in the Zenith team) and Mohammed V Agdal University (at LRIT laboratory).

During his PhD, he has been a part-time teacher at these both universities. His research interests include Big Data, Data Dependency, Data Exploration and Analysis, Formal Specification, Environmental Modelling and Simulation, and Software Development. Two of his works received a “Best Paper Award”. He has participated for three years in the development of a French research project called STAMP, funded in part by the ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche), in collaboration with the CIRAD and the Paris-Est University (see Chapter 8 of his thesis). He was awarded the Moroccan Research Excellence Scholarship for PhDs and a merit scholarship for his Master in Computer Science and Telecommunications.
