The Swedish working climate emphasizes a non-hierarchical atmosphere, with discussions involving both junior and senior staff. Spouses of employees are eligible for residence permits which allow them to work or study. Residence permit holders with sufficient contract lengths, including PhD students and their families, receive free healthcare after a small co-pay, just like Swedish citizens.
