I am an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at Division of Signals Systems, Uppsala University, Sweden. Previously, I was a post-doctoral researcher at Department of Signals and Systems at Chalmers University. I have received my Ph.D. degree from Bilkent University, Turkey. During August 2010 - June 2011, I have visited Mathematics and Statistics Department, Queen's University, Canada. During September 2016 - October 2016, I have visited Dept. of Communications Systems, EURECOM, France. My research interests are in the areas of machine learning, statistical signal processing, communications, optimization and inverse problems.

In 2015, I have been awarded Junior Project Research Grant by Swedish Research Council (VR) with the project "Smart Sensing and Communications with Energy Harvesting'' for 2016- 2020. I have recently concluded an EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship with the project title "GRENHAS: Green and Smart Communications with Energy Harvesting: A Signal Processing Approach".
