Simple Plan autographed "No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls"
Simple Plan autographed "No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls"
? Simple Plan's debut album with autographs of all members except David (Chuck and Jeff signed in this silver marker I gave them so it's hard to see... I'm gonna get a hot pink metallic marker for more autographs in the future! haha~) I actually had to go buy one of their albums just to prepare in case I could meet the guys so that I have a booklet for them to sign... cuz I do have their albums! but I left all of them back home in Vancouver! so the lesson learned here is that, if I ever move around again, I'm gonna make sure I carry with me all those album booklets of my favourite bands~~~ cuz you never know when (and where) you might get to see them! haha! this has been such a total surprise! I'd never have thought in a million years that I'd get to see Simple Plan in Singapore out of all places~ ^O^ ? Pierre's half-finished water bottle (see how much water is still left inside?) I was SOOO surprised when Pierre came over to give me his water bottle towards the end of the show~~~ cuz I wasn't even sitting in the centre in front of him! I was more towards the side... so I was completely stunned and I think I just *froze* there~ OMG... cuz I couldn't believe it!!! I think my mind really does blank out in moments of extreme excitement! cuz I can't remember if I said "thanks" or anything! (proof yet again how I'd lose my manners in those hyper moments)... hahahah ^O^;;;;;; and it wasn't like I was waving or anything trying to get it! I do remember when I saw Jeff going to hand out his pick, I was there waving like CRAZY going like "me me me!!!" He ended up giving the pick to the front row girl at his side... but he saw me and put his hands in his pockets trying to find more picks but then shrugged and mouthed "sorry, no more~" I can't believe they only have 1 pick for acoustic shows? haha ^O^;;;;;; but WOW, it's the first time I've ever gotten anything from a show!!! and those water bottles! usually at formal shows, bands would just throw them down to the crowd very randomly~~~ but this time, the guys were all actually giving them to someone personally (only those at first row)!!! Jeff was actually the only one who didn't drink water so he just gave out a pick... but David gave his bottle to the girl in front of him and who really likes him... Seb gave his to the girl sitting right next to me and who told me before the show how Seb is her favourite so she must have been overjoyed~ her friend sitting next to her got Chuck's bottle... so it ended up the three of us all got water bottles! to tell the truth tho, I'm not too into getting things from the band at real live shows... cuz I remember, actually it was the Simple Plan concert in Vancouver before, TONS of girls all fell to the ground trying to get the guys' things when they threw them down!!! it was sooo scary~~~ all the little girls were so crazy for the guys I think they actually fought over the water bottles and stuff and that's why sooo many fell down together! so yeah! unbelievable~~~ to think that Pierre actually came towards me and gave me the water bottle~~~ I wonder if they recognized me from the previous night when I got photos and autographs with them in front of MTV Asia? or maybe Pierre remembered my RAD camera and what I said about I'm actually also from Canada and have seen them before in Vancouver? haha~ *wishful thinking* ? what happened after the show as the guys were getting off stage, the crowd completely MOBBED them!!! it was total chaos for like 15 minutes!!! the guys couldn't get out and TONS of girls were just crushing them all asking for photos and hugs and autographs and everything!!! thank goodness I've already done all that the previous night at MTV Asia when there were just the 6 of us girls... but then I saw David was the only one left stranded on stage so I jumped on there to get him too~ XDDD it was really nice seeing them all so, hmm, obliging to the fans' requests? tho I wonder if them and the management people ever anticipated how at the end there'd be a complete mob... ^O^;;;;;; the guys were all still smiling and signing for everyone~ even as they were finally getting out and going into this other building, on the way, if someone stopped them for anything, they'd still smile and do a photo and sign! they're just such sweethearts!!! ^O^ you see bands who keep saying how they value the fans' support and they remain close to them and blah blah... but then in reality they're not so easy to get close to or they have all their reasons as to not sign or not photo... and then you compare that to how these guys reacted to a complete crazy MOB... such a huge difference. I wonder whether it has anything to do with them being Canadians~ haha~ cuz Canadian guys are sooo down to earth and easy going and much easier to approach! I *looove* my homegrown Canadian boys~~~ ^O^ they're the best!!! apparently after the show, the group of little girls sitting right next to m

This picture was taken while having supper after a day of outdoor shooting on Sunday (11.1.2009) with my Singaporean photography buddy, Henry Foong. I was about to shut down my camera when the owner of this Harley came & parked in front of us just across the road. The helmet was placed nicely on the seat too.I couldn't resist the temptation & wouldn't want to lose this rare opportunity to capture one of the coolest machine in biking history, my camera was fired up again. An HDR version was created immediately after I reached home.
