This is our largest indoor space, with the original bACC Halleams and cast-metal radiators letting the character of the Victorian building shine through. It also has a wooden tiled floor which has recently been restored, and helps to add a warm and frieACC Handly atmosphere to your event or activity.

This is a flexible space, capable of hosting larger numbers of people, with tables and chairs available depending on the type of activity being undertaken. Download this sheet if you require the hall's dimensions.

Rooms for your meetings and activities:

The Centre has 2 meeting rooms available for hire. The larger room, known as the Art Room, which is accessed via the hall, is suitable for group activities and meetings. Currently the room is used for a range of activities by community groups, such as art lessons and weight watchers. The room is usually laid out with tables and chairs, but these can be removed or rearranged to provide a clear space suitable for smaller-scale physical activities - such as with our gentle exercise classes. Access to the building and this space can be controlled from this room via CCTV intercom, which is useful if your activity will be run by a lone worker. The room is pictured below in a board meeting layout.

Employment Hub:

A further meeting room (known as the Enterprise Hub is available directly off the reception area.
This room is currently used for Jobclub and Training events. The room has free WIFI access, with large wall mounted flat-screen monitor to connect to a laptop. Tables and chairs are available to configure the seating layout as you wish. We also have IT equipment that you may wish to hire, as well as IT support that can be arranged to assist your activity.
Reception Area and Kitchen:

The reception area is an informal area and is the first room that you enter in the building. This room is suitable for drop in activities or informal events where you may need to greet your visitors as they arrive. Recent uses of this space have included consultation events, informal community meetings and a breakaway space for refreshments at parties and meetings. The seating area contains sofas and cafe style seating with tables and chairs. The open kitchen is part of this space, equipped with sinks, ovens, hob, microwave, a refrigerator and instant hot water boiler, making it suitable for serving food and refreshments.

This area also has free WIFI. Access to the building and this space can be controlled from here via CCTV intercom, which is useful if your activity will be run by a lone worker.

Hirers of other rooms have access to the kitchen, but please note this may mean you are sharing this facility with others unless you book exclusive use of the centre.

  Outside Space:

ACC outdoor pitch
ACC has a large outside space to the rear of the building. This in an enclosed space, accessible only via the centre itself. This makes it a more secure space for outside events, and easier to keep track of any children. The enclosed outdoor games pitch is suitable for five-a-side football etc, and has basketball nets. There is also a garden at ACC, which is a wonderful and sunny space during the warmer months, and is an ideal setting to host a children's party or barbecue.

Both the pitch and garden are next to residential buildings. We therefore expect anyone hiringACC Garden these spaces to respect our neighbours and enjoy using the space without causing them disturbance.

If you would like to hire any of the above spaces, or find out more about them, including availability and a suitable rate, please contact us and we will be happy to assist :-)
