Autumn Tea Party for Older People

A special event, for older people aged 75 yrs and older, who live alone and would enjoy an afternoon of tea, cake and conversation! 

We will be joined by Golden-Oldies Charity who will be running a sing-along session featuring all the classics!

We are able to arrange transportation for people who would not otherwise be able to attend, so get in touch if you need a lift!

This event is free and supported by Lawrence Weston Community Transport.


ACCA are excited to be a part of the Fun Palaces campaign for culture 
in partnership with University of Bristol over the weekend of 7th-8th October... 

Saturday 7th October : 12-5pm.

We are hosting a Making Day, featuring workshops from our community including felt making, clothes up-cycling, a treasure hunt, knitting, clay lanterns, library stories and more!

We invite you to come along, learn how to make something and share your own talents with your community!

Sunday 8th October : 3pm.

Our friends at Incredible Edible are showing the film, 'Grow Your Own', a heart-warming British comedy following the stories of all the weird and wonderful characters at a community allotment. 

Tickets are £5.90 and include tea and cake! Available from the Centre or here. 

There are loads of fun activities going on around Bristol over the weekend, here is a map with more information about what's happening where. 

The Severn Beach Railway line will transform into the Fun Palace Train! Make a pom pom at the Centre, exchange it for a free pass and travel to Lawrence Hill where you will find our sister Fun Palace hub at the Wellspring Centre. Along the way you can take part in a photo workshop and get to know the CROWD...

There are lots of great activities, and something for the whole family. Join us on Saturday 22nd July and start the Summer Holidays in style!!

Come along to our Energy Fest this Easter Holidays! There will be fun activities for all the family including windmill making and a free lunch! Dave from ALS Energy Group will be here offering advice on how to save money with your energy bills - bring along a bill if you would like some advice!

It will be a fun-filled and informative day, we hope you can make it! Wednesday 19th April 11am - 2pm.

Christmas Lunch

Nisbets did us proud once again! There seemed more food which was good as it looked like more people? They even brought their own Band! We were issued with Carol sheets and had a singsong during desert whilst Santa did the rounds! Thanks to Warburtons who provided the 1st prize in the Raffle of a bike,all the bread & rolls and the take home bags given to everyone as they departed. Another good day in the Community Centre!
