I am an Associate Professor in Political Theory and Global Ethics at the Department of Political Science, University College London.
I joined UCL in 2014. Before that I was a lecturer at the University of Essex Politics Department, and held postdoc positions at Stanford University and at UCL. I earned my D.Phil. in Politics from Oxford University, where I studied at Nuffield College.
My research focuses on questions of political philosophy and public affairs. I write on collective responsibility in democracies, on the duties of citizens in unjust democracies and on the permissibility of violent protest.
