I am always there.
I am always there.
I was on vacation in the Cape and wanted to experience the sunrise. My girlfriend and I woke up at 5am got coffee and drove to head of the meadow in Truro. We finished watching the sunrise by the water and walked back to the car. I realized this was the calm before the storm. Hurricane Irene was just a day away before making its mark on the east coast. I took one last look at the sunrise and noticed my footprint in the sand. I took my camera lowered it and pressed my shutter. This is what I got. I call it “I am always there” because of the meaning behind “Footprints in the Sand” I hope you enjoy. Matthew David Video and Photography.

My favorite memory of the beach cabin is when Katie and I stayed there at the millennium. Sunset looked a lot like this one (from 2006). After celebrating the new year, we drew down all the storm shutters in the event of some crazy Y2K mishap. Nothing in my imagination really believed the coast could ever look like it does now.
