Day 715 - Winter Wonderland
Day 715 - Winter Wonderland
2009 - Day 27 In an effort to imitate the inimitable Fubuki, I give you... 102 Things You May Or May Not Want To Know About Me #1. I am an egotist with dangerously low self esteem – work it out for yourself, I don’t know. #2. I play a lot of instruments, I’m relatively good at piano and guitar, and I know how to play the Ukulele and the Harmonica. #3. I’m seriously addicted to Scrubs and House. Scrubs for the stupid humor and House just because I think House is hilarious. #4. I walk with a slight limp because I got the bright idea to run down a mountain when I was 13. I’ve had half a dozen X-rays and an MRI, no one knows what’s wrong with me. #5. My taste in music is pretty eclectic, I like almost everything except new country (I enjoy Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and the like) and Rap (although Rappers Delight makes me smile). Some of it’s pretty bad by most people’s standards, but I really enjoy it. Tom Waits, one of my favorites, has been described to me as “Golem on Steroids”. #6. My religious views lean heavily towards atheism. I wouldn’t mind being religious; I just can’t wrap my head around it. #7. I don’t own a pair of jeans. #8. I don’t like sweet tea. #9. I have never, and will never, use the words “ain’t” or “y’all” in a sentence other than to say that I don’t say them. #10. I’m a few months short of 18 and never had a girlfriend. I’m not gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that), just socially awkward. #11. I graduated a year early from high school and am at least a year younger than everyone I know at the College of Charleston, my friends never let me forget it either. #12. I am a Business major at the College of Charleston, but honestly I have no idea what I’m going to do with my life. #13. I, along with my father and everyone else that I know, believe that I will never work for another person for a long period of time. #14. I greatly prefer solo sports to team sports. #15. I am and always have been a loner. Even though I have a great group of friends now that I’m at CofC, there are times when I just need to spend a few days without them. While that’s true for everyone, I tend to disappear quite a bit more frequently that most. #16. I am a republican through and through although if you look at #6, you’ll know why I avoid the religious right at all costs. #17. I am a strong believer in the idea that the money you earn should be the money you keep. #18. I’m an advocate of the Fair Tax. #19. That being said, I believe that most of the CEO’s of major companies on the planet are the greediest bunch of fuckers out there. #20. I agree with Allan Moore “People should not be afraid of their Governments, Governments should be afraid of their people” #21. I am not a supporter of Barak Obama, that being said, If he can do what he says that he can do, I will have no problem with him at all. #22. To go along with the above, I think that regardless of who the president is and regardless which political party is in power, we should stand behind them for the betterment and continuation of the USA. United we stand, Divided we fall is more than just a quote. #23. I’ve always wanted to travel. I’ve never really had much of a desire to stay in one place for more than a few weeks. #24. While I am incredibly stubborn and will argue with a brick wall when I know something is right, when in doubt, I am almost always open to someone else’s argument. #25. Regardless of their viewpoint, I always appreciate a good argument. #26. If I really like a song, I will listen to it over and over again for hours. #27. I have over 6500 songs on my iPod. I’ve listened to every one. #28. I love to read even though I don’t do it as often as I’d like. #29. I’ve read The Lord Of The Rings 6 times. #30. I have no idea why people who have never left this country claim that this is the greatest country in the world. How do they know? #31. I do not, and never have had a problem with homosexuals, I just don’t want to have it flaunted in front of my face. #32. If two people love each other, I believe that they should be allowed to marry, regardless of their sex. #33. I completely disagree with the saying “Heritage not Hate” with regard to the confederate flag being flown. First, most of the people who fly the flag are deeply racist, that’s just the way that they raised, also, why in the world would anyone want to celebrate a time in our countries history where we were so divided over an issue that we resorted to killing each other. #34. I use the word “hate” very loosely. Which is a very bad thing when talking to people who don’t know that about me. #35. I own both a Mac and a PC. Mac wins hands down. #36. I
