Noble Blood: The Gray Court, Book 2
Noble Blood: The Gray Court, Book 2
Nobility has its privileges…and its price. Sometimes it just sucks.
The Gray Court, Book 2
For Lord Duncan Malmayne, it was love at first sight with his true bond, the lovely half-Sidhe, half-leprechaun Moira Dunne. Yet something is missing from his relationship with the fiery redhead, something that prevents him from completing the Claiming and making Moira his forever.
As problems multiply in what should be a magical, idyllic time, the depression weighing on Moira’s Sidhe heart signals a potentially devastating condition. Mate sickness. Her instinct tells her what’s missing: Jaden Blackthorn, Gray Court vampire, Duncan’s bond brother and closest friend—who tactfully withdrew from their lives after Duncan declared his love.
Jaden is both heartbroken and elated that the two people he loves most in the world are together. It’s best he cut off all contact to give them space to complete the Claiming. But trouble is brewing in the Malmayne clan, and when Jaden’s forced back into their lives by the Hob, their extremely rare tribond clicks with a reaction that’s swift, sensual and all-consuming.
But not everyone looks upon it as a blessing. In fact, the price of their love could be a potentially fatal shift of power…
Warning: This book contains explicit sex, graphic language, and M/M/F love scenes between a Sidhe lord, a vampire and a leprechaun. And no, that’s not the start of a dirty joke no matter what my Beta readers said.

The Solway Harvester at Kirkcudbright
The Solway Harvester at Kirkcudbright
Location: The Scallop Dredger BA794 “Solway Harvester”, Kirkcudbright Harbor, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, UK Date of Photograph: am 31 March 1999 OS Grid Reference: NX683511 Co-ordinates: 54:50:16N 4:03:08W Elevation: 3 meters This picture shows the steel scallop dredger BA794 “Solway Harvester” in her home port of Kirkcudbright on the North shore of the Solway Firth. She was of registered length 19.43 meters and was built by Hepworth’s of Paull in 1992. Her UK Fishing Vessel Certificate was renewed on 18th September 1997 and was good until 15th November 2000. Her port of registry was of course Ballantrae and her owners were Jack Robinson ( Trawlers ) Limited of Grimsby. She had seven crew: The Mills family; skipper Andrew “Craig”, 29, Robin, 35, and David, 17; Martin Milligan, 26; John Murphy, 22; David Lyons, 18; and Wesley Jolly, 17. It is thought that the Solway Harvester put out from Kirkcudbright sometime on the 9th or 10th of January 2000 and motored to Isle of Whithorn some twenty-five kilometers across Wigtown Bay. Several of her crew lived in this latter village. In any event, by 1530 on the 11th January 2000, the Harvester found herself at a point in the Irish Sea halfway between the Isle of Man and the Lancashire coast in the midst of a worsening storm. She was in the act of running for shelter in the lee of the big island and hauled in her gear as she continued at speed on an approximate bearing of 330°. By 1730, however, Force Eight winds were running over 4.1 meter waves from the South-West, against a countervailing current of 1.3 knots. At 1745 the dredger hove to and broached the seas. As she rolled heavily, the bagged scallops and shipped water in her hold shifted and she capsized and sank at about that time. Her position was 54°05.85’N 4°04.87’W, about ten miles ESE of Douglas Harbor. The wreck lay in 38 meters of water. All seven men were missing, presumed dead. The Manx Government announced its intention to dive the site and recover any bodies for burial, and, if possible, to raise the boat for inquest. Within days the salvage vessel CSO Wellservicer was on station. Divers descended and recovered four bodies from the sleeping quarters and three from the gutting deck. It was reported that a hatch had been left open and that life rafts were missing. Otherwise the vessel was upright and intact, except for some crumpling to the bow which was consistent with the vessel hitting the benthos nose-first, but not suggestive of a ships’ collision. The bodies were placed in a metal capsule and transferred to the supply vessel Scotian Shore. Relatives, officials and the press attended Douglas Docks as a crane lifted the capsule ashore. The capsule was draped in the Saltire and the Manx flag. A lone piper played “Flower of Scotland” and “Amazing Grace” as the onlookers wept. Police officers saluted as the bodies were driven to Noble’s Hospital for autopsy. On the Wednesday morning the people of Whithorn went to the church to lay 17-year-old Wesley Jolly to rest. The Priory Church could not accommodate the crowds. The Reverend Alexander Currie wept as he officiated. Then the mourners processed to the Catholic Church to remember 18-year-old Assistant Coastguard David Lyons. That afternoon, in the tiny pilgrims’ landfall church on The Isle of Whithorn, the Mills family was laid to rest amidst the coastguards and fishermen of the little community and mourners from far afield. Recovery of the actual vessel was hampered by bad weather but the hulk was eventually hauled by crane onto the deck of the salvage vessel MV Norma. The wreck was taken to Ramsey Harbor and floated for inspection by The Marine Accident Investigation Branch. In addition to the compromised flotation that was the immediate cause of the foundering, the MAIB drew attention to the weak attachments of the dredger’s life-saving apparatus. They recommended that servicing and securement of life rafts be vigilantly maintained, that inexperienced crewmen be certified to have completed mandatory safety training, and that other aspects of safety inspection and education be kept current. They further stated that the protective covers of fish room slush wells be operational and their use understood; that portable diesel salvage pumps be shipped; and that bilge alarms and strainers be properly maintained. A further set of recommendations counseled the proper stowage and securement of catch and gear to pre-empt shifts in metacentric stability at sea, and that company logistical and managerial procedures be tightened to ensure the availability and serviceability of safety-critical equipment. On 6th March 2000, Karen Mills of Whithorn, wife of Robin, gave birth to Robbie Andrew, a brother for Sarah. Robin had agreed with his brother Craig to stand in for a sick crewman when he joined the Solway Harvester on her final voyage.

Noble Intentions (Leisure Historical Romance)
HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE
Noble Britton had suffered greatly at the hands of his first wife, and he refused to fall into the same trap again. This time he intended to marry a quiet, biddable woman who would not draw attention to herself or cause scandal. Gillian Leigh's honest manner and spontaneous laughter attracted him immediately. It mattered little that she was accident-prone; he could provide the structure necessary to guide her. But unconventional to the tips of her half-American toes--toes that one of them was constantly tripping over--his new bride turned the tables on him, wreaking havoc on his orderly life. And worse, demanding he surrender his heart. Perpetually one step behind his beguiling spouse, Noble suffered a banged up head, a black eye, and a broken nose before he realized Gillian had healed his soul and proved that their union was no heedless tumble, but the swoon of true love.
