The Ananda Center for the Arts, with a grant from Arts in Stark, is is hosting a Regency Event Series to explore the world of Jane Austen.

The first event is a "Tea with Jane Austen" on April 28, 2013, 4-6 PM at the Dragonfly Tea Room in Canal Fulton. This is a chance to actually hear Jane Austen speak about her life and books and to enjoy a Garden Tea luncheon. Limited seating is available, advanced ticket reservations are required.

Come "Explore Jane Austen's World" with a series of activities and lectures that will highlight various aspects of the Regency Period. The Massillon Library has joined in supporting the Ananda Center for the Arts' Regency Era by having books and movies on display that explore Jane Austen's works and world. In addition to the displays,  there is a craft activity and two movie nights. There will be several lectures at the Ananda Center for the Arts as well as a presentation at the Massillon Museum.  

The culminating event is a costumed Regency Ball on June 8, 2013, at the Massillon Women's Club ballroom located in Massillon, OH. The evening will be filled with English Country Dances, live music, and a light dinner and drinks. Advanced ticket reservations are required, no tickets will be sold at the event.
