The Australian Axemen’s Association (AAA) is the National governing body for the sport of woodchopping and its disciplines in Australia.

Even though the sport began in 1873 and was formalised in 1891 in Australia it has not been until the last 20 years the association has seen a need to improve its governance in development and performance, and as the AAA was formed.

There are currently 19 countries competing and with Japan entering the arena in 2011 and other Asian countries are sure to follow. It is of utmost importance that the Australian Axemens Association solidifies Australia’s ranking as the number one woodchopping country in the world.
