"I love to read." Everyone may say that, but how many of us actually can commit the time it takes to read everything we want? That's the problem... reading is an activity that requires your full attention. If only we could maximize the time spent doing other tasks by reading while doing them: the commute to work would be enjoyable instead of mind-numbing, and washing dishes would be less of a chore. But now, virtually (no pun intended) everything you could want to consume by reading can be accessed through audio! Use your eyes and hands for those other tasks - Audible has your ears and brain covered.

Audio files are compressed so that they download faster and take up less space on your computer's hard drive or in the device's memory. In general, less compression means higher quality audio, but also means a larger file and longer download.
