Nervous Novice Nudies

We at Auckland Naturist Orewa understand that for some people who have never dared to bare before, this can be a very nervous time for you.

Our adivce to you is....RELAX! We have all been there and know what it is like. Here are a few pointers to help and support you, We guarantee that after your first time, you will wonder what all the worry was about. We would also ask you read the club rules as well which can be found here.

Do I have to get my gear off and stay nude all the time I am here?

No, we would encourage you to get your gear off, but you will do this when you are ready to do so. Our pool, spa pool and sauna are all clothing free though. It’s so much more fun than a wet sticky set of togs!

If a nude person is talking to me, where I do look and what do I say?

Look where ever you would look if they were clothed. Say hello and above all, be yourself

My body does not suit being a nudist

Your body is perfect for you.

Will people stare at my body and secretly judge me?

No, everyone is in the same position that you are in and will not want you to judge them either, so we are all very accepting here.

Will I get sun burned? Isn’t sun tanning dangerous?

No, just wear sun block and don’t spend more than a safe amount of time in the sun. Start off slowly. We like to spend time in the shade as the full dark tan is no longer as fashionable as before. It is essential that a person spend at least 15 minutes in the sun each day in order to get the maximum amount of Vitamin D- essential for all kinds of health. We are all aware of skin cancer here and try to maintain safe sun worship. Many nudists these days have the lightest of tans.

What if I get an embarrassing erection or something equally embarrassing happens to me?

In all my years as a nudist I have never seen that happen. If something embarrassing happens just know that we all love each other here and are very kind and accepting of each other.

Is a Brazilian wax essential or not desirable?

Everyone is welcome to their own fashion statements. We have people from hairy to smoothie (totally shaved/waxed) and everything in between.

What is the protocol inside the clubhouse?

If your bum is bare, please cover the chair (with your towel)
