Prof. (Dr.) Atul Gonsai, is Professor at Department of Computer Science, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. A renowned educationist and administrator, He has started his academic career way back in 2000 and during the course of time, emerged as a tireless academician and Computer Science scientist. He has total teaching experience of Twenty-Four years.  Prof. Atul Gonsai  had his early education in his hometown. He obtained his MCA, BBA degree from Saurashtra University, Rajkot. He obtained PhD in 2005 and became first Ph.D. holder of entire Saurashtra University. 

He has been awarded the "CAREER AWARD FOR YOUNG TEACHERS” from ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE) New Delhi with amount of Rs. 10.5 lakhs. His research interest encompasses Computer networks, wireless networks, High performance networking, Rate Control Protocol (RCP), Network Security, Encryption Decryption, Ad hoc Network protocol, Network performance tuning, Protocol development, Image Processing and Cloud computing etc. 

A distinguished academician, staunch disciplinarian and an efficient administrator. He has also served as the Member and Chairman of the various Committees of UGC/ AICTE/ IETE. He is a UGC nominated Executive Council member of Dr Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Sagar MP (A Central University) and Board of Governance in 7 autonomous colleges. He is a member of ICT Committee of NAAC. He has rendered 8 times services for NAAC as peer team member. He is an active member of 6 Advisory body of various university.  He has been a member of more than 30 Committees.

He has 13 foreign Countries visit for Research and Extensions Activities. He has visited, USA, UK, Russia 2 Times, Hongkong, Mauritius, Lithuania 3 times, Nigeria, Latvia, Belgium.

He has delivered 10 International lectures, 53 National Invited lectures and 9 TV/Radio Talks. He has been sponsored by British Council, European Union Erasmus+ and Russian Academy of Science and Northeastern Federal University Yakutsk, Russia. He got selected by Microsoft for training on networking and wireless networking at IISC Bangalore. He has been a member in Board of Studies at 11 universities throughout the Country. He holds 22 Professional Membership. He has 10 MoUs Formulated for the Saurashtra university. He has served 4 times as an expert committee member at UGC, New Delhi. Worked as member in more than 58+ selection committees for various Recruitments and Actively taken part in more than 17 training programs. 

He has 7 Patents published and 1 Granted with certificate. He is the author of 8 books and over 135+ research papers related to computer science and computer networking in International and National Journals and conferences. He has taken part in 46 national and 30 international conferences and seminars. He has Completed 6 Research Projects funded by UGC and AICTE.  Research Sponsors Includes UGC, AICTE, UK India Education Research Initiative (UKIERI), British Council, European Union, ERASMUS+, Russian Academy of Science, Northeastern Federal University of Russia, IQAC- Saurashtra University. He has worked as an expert for more than 75 different activities.  He is DCNI, D - link Certified Network Integrator from D-link India Goa.  He is life Member of ACM, CSI, ISTE, IETE and other 20 professional bodies. Worked for more than 15 national level exams like JEE, NEET, UGC-NET and Worked as an examiner in more than 13 different universities.
