Schedule, Week of October 8

As with every year - this is our big week. Detailed schedule below with A LOT of info - here are some highlights
  • Tuesday: rehearsal 5-8
  • Wednesday: Band Parent Meeting at 7:15. Looking for some fresh faces with some fresh ideas! (Discussions about major fundraisers coming up)
  • Friday: Homecoming and Senior Day (pep rally, parade, game)
  • Sunday: Harvest Festival Standstill performance
  • Band Banquet date announcement

Monday, October 8

No Rehearsal - No School


Tuesday, October 9

5:00-8:00 - Rehearsal


Wednesday, October 10

2:15-4:15 – Percussion Sectional

5:00-8:00 - Full Rehearsal

7:15 - BAND PARENT MEETING - big discussions on upcoming fundraisers and rest of the season. We are looking for more attendance to bring in fresh ideas!!! In addition, discussion of Scarecrow Booth fundraiser, Pie Fundraiser, and Soup Dinner

 

Thursday, October 11

2:15-4:15 - Winds and Guard Sectional 


Friday, October 12, Pep Rally, Homecoming Parade, SENIOR NIGHT, Homecoming Football Game

1:00pm: Pep Rally Performance in School (please wear SHOW SHIRT; AHS students only); we will play opener/closer in gym. 

2:05pm: Arrive in band room and change into full uniform for Parade

2:30pm: Depart AHS for Homecoming Parade in full uniform 

4:00pm: Homecoming Parade through Main St., Allentown.

4:30 - Eat and put on uniforms/prepare for game (BRING A QUICK BAGGED DINNER)

5:05pm - Line-up to march to field (and senior parents assemble near scoreboard for senior recognition)

5:20pm: Senior Recognition Ceremony  (senior parents, please see my email to you regarding names and if you are attending (highly encouraged!)

5:45ish - National Anthem,

6:00pm - Kick-off

Half-time - Performance

3rd Quarter - Band Break; members can eat (Baked goods and water provided by band parents)

Dismissal - After Game Ends; dismissed from band room, usually 

8:30pm - Dismissal Estimate 


Saturday, October 13 - Tentative; subject to minor changes ^

8:30am – Rehearsal (Please note that you might have to take a detour around Downtown Allentown to go to AHS and there will be traffic – please plan accordingly and leave PLENTY of time to get to the school)

11:30pm- Eat, Pack, Load (EPL)

1:15pm - Depart AHS

2:15pm- Arrive at Woodbridge High School

4:15pm – Performance at Woodbridge High School; Tournament of Bands Show; we compete in the III-A class. This is not a USBands show. 

Awards - TIME TBA

ETA at AHS - TIME TBA


Sunday, October 14 Harvest Festival

11:45am - Rehearsal/Warmup at Allentown HS; bring flip folders (please arrive in the bottom half of your uniform)

(Please note that you will have to take a detour around town to go to AHS – please plan accordingly and leave PLENTY of time to get to the school)

1:00pm - Harvest Festival Standstill Performance in downtown Allentown*

2:00pm - Dismissal from AHS

 

+We will march down to the Festival. We will be wearing full uniform, as if it were a competition. We will perform pep music as well as our show. We perform near our Scarecrow Booth. Please bring your flip folder of music

+Pit will be performing at Harvest Festival.

  • THE MARCHING BAND BANQUET: November 14th, 5:30pm. More info to come but SAVE THE DATE!! We usually have 100% attendance
